King's—" Forever Amber” is to he screened to Gisborne audiences tomorrow for the first time. The film version which keeps clear of phases which enused banning of the novel, is well presented and enhanced by Technicolour. Amber runs the gamut of serving maid to mistress of a king, and her colourful adventures are faithfully portrayed. Regent.—" The Paradine Case” concludes this evening. "High Wall, with Robert Taylor, Audrey Totter and Herbert Marshall, is tomorrow’s attraction. It is a drama in which a man still a victim of war injuries is charged with having murdered his wife. He is sent to a hospital for observation, coming under the care of an understanding doctor, played by Audrey Totter. Taylor gives one of his best performances, and he and Miss Totter make a very good team in an unusual story.
Majestic.—Columbia’s "The Crime Doctor’s Gamble.” new screen adventure of a radio criminologist., screens today. Warner Bnxter is starred with a supporting enßt which includes Mioheline Cheirel, Roger Daun, Steve Geray. Mnrcel Journet and Eduardo Cinnnelli. The associate musical comedy, "Sarge Goes To College,” stars June Prosser and Freddie Stewart.
