HOW THE “WALES” WORKS Branch Series No. 3 The Security Clerk THE Security Clerk has two main functions. He looks after any valuables (other than cash and credit instruments) entrusted to the safekeeping of the Branch by its customers, and he is responsible for the various documents (such as title deeds, life policies, bonds and guarantees) lodged with the Branch as security for advances. His work is exacting but varied, extensive but interesting. He is constantly meeting and coping with new problems, and thus gaining the knowledge and experience which characterize “Wales” officers.
