INFANT’S DEATH FROM ACUTE HEART FAILURE

Death from acute heart failure was the verdict returned by the coroner, Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., at the resumed inquest held in Gisborne this morning into the death on December 3 of a 13-months-old infant, Bryce Graeme Gordon son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. C. Gordon, Centennial Crescent. Evidence was given by Dr. C. W. Isaac, who performed a post mortem examination. In his opinion death was due to acute heart failure, caused by interference to the pulmonary circulation from the asperation of fluid, regurgitated from the stomach.

Constable H J. Forsev also gave evidence. Sergeant D. M. Campbell conducted the inquest for the police.
