Greek Reds’ Plot To Murder Premier
(N.Z.P.A. —Reuter —Copyright.) LONDON. Dec. 13
Greek notice have disclosed an alleged Communist plot to assassinate the Prime Minister, M. Papandreou, says the Associated Press Athens correspondent.
The plan was frustrated when one of the six plotters who were to have carried out the assassination confessed to the police. The informant declared that M. Papandreou was to have been killed when attending a friend’s wedding this afternoon. Instructions to assassinate the Prime Minister are alleged to have come from the Communist chieftain Nicholas Zachariades, who is hiding in the mountains.
