HEAVIER ATTACKS ON REBELS IN MALAYA

SINGAPORE, Dec. 13
Forty-five persons are reported to have been killed over the week-end ns the Malayan guerrilla war again blazed into prominence. Indicating tlm greatly increased strength of the security forces, 38 of those killed were Chinese Communist terrorists, including 27 who tricep to escape after being captured. The security forces lost three killed and six wounded.
Terrorists murdered a Chinese man and a woman in Ncgrisembilan on Saturday. Between 40 and 50 terrorists shot up the town of Rawang, 15 miles north of Kuala Lumpur, killing one civilian and seriously wounding another. Security forces reported the conclusion of an operation in the Baling area, Kedah, in which they were supported by air strikes. They killed four terrorists and captured 24.
