Part of Gisborne’s Christmas mail was included in a shipment by the Saxton Star, which the PostmasterGeneral has advised as reaching Great Britain on December 5 with 20,078 parcels, of a total weight of 198,7211 b. Wliangara Bridge Repairs Unexpected trouble arose when a maintenance gang was replacing some tie-bolts on the Whangara bridge yesterday, and it was necessary to restrict traffic temporarily while the defect was corrected.
