EGYPTIAN RECALL OF RETIRED POLICE TO MEET EMERGENCY
CAIRO, Dec. 10,
The new police chief Ahmed Abdul Had Bey. has recalled all retired police officers and the Ministry of the Interior has decided that the police could in future use armoured cars to quell disturbances.
These measures will strengthen public security and are the result of the dissolution yesterday of the militant revolutionary Moslem brotherhood association and students disorders last week. Most students are on indefinite holiday with the universities and secondary schools in Cairo and Alexandria closed.
