The beetles are now on the wing and laying eggs to start another three years life cycle in the timber. Earn good money —we will pay i/- per dozen for all live beetles sent to our Laboratory. Get the children “bug” hunting. It is good fun and profitable many people made good money last year. HOW TO COLLECT To collect without injury use a small wide-mouth bottle containing a crumpled piece of paper lightly stuffed in. Flick the beetle into the bottle with a feather or camel hair brush. HOW TO IDENTIFY BEETLES Anobium beetles are 1/8' to 3/10' long. Brown to grey in colour with the head tucked under the thoracic segment forming a cap or “Monk’s Hood” appearance.
