Mr. Albert Mathison Qucnnell, who was born in Dunedin, lias been appointed a senior geologist in the Colonial service and will go to Tanganyika. Mr. Qucnnell, since 1946, has been employed by the Transjordan Government as assistant Director of Lands, Surveys and Development.. _He served during the war as an engineer officer in the N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East and Italy.
