14 PERISH IN AIR ACCIDENTS IN U.S.
(10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 6. At least 14 and possibly 21 people were killed in air crashes during the week-end.
At least five U.S. Navy men were killed when a private plane struck a mountain near Salinas. California.
Four persons were killed in Dubuque, lowa, three in Wisconsin and two near Marseilles, Illinois. A search is going on for several passengers in a private plane that is missing in Pennsylvania and two missing on a flight from Salem, Oregon, to Los Angeles.
