LONDON, Dec. 6.
The Associated Press correspondent in Tokyo, quoting reliable sources, says that Sir William Webb, president of the International Military Tribunal, and Major-General Zaryanov, Russia, refused to vote for the execution of the Japanese war criminals because there is no capital punishment in their countries. Five accused, Koki Hirota, General K. Doihara, General S. Itagaki, General I. Matsui and General I. Muto, were sentenced to be hanged by a margin of one vote. General Tojo and General H. Kimura were sentenced by a vote of seven to four.
