Moscow Flats To Be Heated By “Waste” Hot Water
(10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 6
Three hundred blocks of Hats in Moscow are to lie provided with a mass central heating system with “waste” hot water from the city’s power stations, reports the .British United Press.
The water, which until now has been emptied into the river, will be brought to a temperature of 150 degrees Centigrade under pressure and will flow along pipes which will link the flats with the power stations. Russia hopes to save 40,000 tons of coal yearly by using this system.
