Prisoner Killed In Blasting Accident
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 7. Hit on'the temple by a piece of river metal during blasting, a prisoner at Waikune prison camp, William Rangitauira, aged 33, was killed instantly yesterday. The accident occurred at the prison quarry at Whakapapanui Stream where metal was being blasted from the stream bed.
Rangitauira was about 100 yards away from the scene.
