EMPIRE FOOD PARCELS FOR MOTHERS
(10 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30. Princess Elizabctli asked the Ministry of Food’s Commonwealth gift centre to send a food parcel to the mother of every child born in the United Kingdom on November 14, the birthday of her son.
Parcels will be sent from among those the Princess has been continually receiving since her marriage as wedding presents from people in the British Commonwealth and the United States. An average of 2500 babies are born in Britain every day.
