INDIA NOT TO REDUCE SIZE OF ARMY
(11 a.m.) NEW DELHI, Oct. 3. India has postponed its decision to reduce the size of the Indian Army because of the atmosphere of lawlessness beyond her borders. This was announced by the deputy Prime Minister, Sardar V. Patel, who added that the Government had received information that the Communists in Burma had contacts with Communists in Calcutta, Assam and Hyderabad.
