TROOPS SET FIRE TO REBEL VILLAGES
(11.10 a.m.) RANGOON, Oct. 3. The Government communique says Government forces set fire to two insurgent villages near Bassein, in the Irrawaddy Delta. The communique said the situation at the Syrian oil depot across the river from Rangoon had improved and the ferry service between Rangoon and Syria had been resumed.
