(10.25 a.m.) LONDON. Aug. 30. Tom Blower, who planned to swim the Channel both ways, abandoned the return swim on medical advice after coming ashore at Cap Gris Nez, says Reuter’s correspondent in Boulogne. Blower looked in good shape but a doctor said his heart was low. Blower swam the Channel in 15 hours 31 minutes, breaking Temme’s record from England to France by 23 minutes.
