Giant Flying-Boat On Non-Stop Flight
HONOLULU, Aug. 27. The United States Navy flying-boat Caroline Mars —the world’s largest operational flying-boat—took off today on a non-stop flight to Chicago. The Caroline Mars, which weighs 82 J tons, is expected to complete the trip in about 22 hours. It is carrying a crew of 17 and 25 passengers.
