EMPIRE WOOL POOL HOLDING 3,218,000 BALES
LONDON, Aug. 27,
The United Kingdom and Dominion Wool Disposals Limited announced that joint organisation held at June 30 3 218,000 bales of wool which was a reduction of 1,297,000 bales on the previous year ended June 30, 1947. The New Zealand surplus in the past six months went down by 147,000 and the Australian by 448,000. Of the New Zealand surplus, 511,125 bales lay in New Zealand, and 290,169 in the United Kingdom, while 1,897,675 bales of Australia’s surplus was in Australia and 373,810 in the United Kingdom.
