AIR FORCE BEAT ARMY IN HARD GAME
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 30Playing fast, hard Rugby, Air Force beat Army by eight points to six in the final of the inter-services tournament which was concluded at Palmerston North on Saturday. There was little to choose between the teams. Air Force having a vigorous pack of forwards against an enterprising, efficient Army back line. For Air Force J. D. Barrett scored a try in which E. M. Brewer converted. Brewer also goaled a penalty. M. R. Kennedy and D. L. Morfett scored tries for Army. Navy won the tournament with one win and one draw.
