WELLINGTON BEAT POVERTY BAY 2-0 IN HOCKEY MATCH
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Au g. 30. Wellington beat Poverty Bay 2-0 in defence of the New Zealand Hockey Challenge Shield on Saturday. The halves were the strongest section of both teams, while R. Shields, Poverty Bay full-back, was also outstanding. The lack of thrust in both sets of forwards militated against high quality play. Scorers were I. Ting and J. Mulheron.
