MR. A. R. SMITH. Gisborne, at present on a visit to England and America was a guest of the New York Rotary Club at a recent meeting.
i'T’ WILLIAMSON, chairman of the Williamson Shipping Company, Hong Kong, and honorary agent for the New Zealand Government there, has arrived at Wellington after visiting London and Australia, on his return journey to Hong Kong. MR. AND MRS. C. N. TILLEY, Takapan, left Gisborne by railcar on Thursday for Wairoa and Napier en route to their home. Mr. Tilley is district vicepresident of the N.Z. Returned Services’ Association for the Wellington-East Coast district, extending from the Wairarapa to East Cape. His visit to Gisborne was in pursuance of a promise made recently to visit all branches in his area.
