Domestic Principles for Boys.
A suggestion that some general principles of cooking and housekeeping should bo given to boys before they left the Gisborne High Scnool was made by Mr. T. W. Sewell at Wednesday's meeting of the Gisborne High School Board of Governors. Every boy at one time or another had to batch and they should know something of cooking, how to wash clothes, and general cleanliness, said Mr. Sewell. The rector, Mr. J. Leggat, said that it was intended to give boys a small amount of instruction in these domestic matters at the end of last year, but the school closed early. However, he would keep the suggestion in mind for future occasions.
