GISBORNE Y.M.C.A. SECRETARY RESIGNS
After just over four years with tha Y.M.C.A. in Gisborne, the general secretary, Mr. R. March, has resigned to take up a business position in Gisborne. His resignation was received at a meeting of the board of directors oil Tuesday, sincere regret at his forthcoming departure being expressed. No permanent appointment to MrMarch’s position is being made in tha meantime, the board members having decided to share responsibility for work undertaken, while Mr. K. J. Flint will act as honorary general secretary, Mr. R. O. Kane and Mrs. F. Middlebrook will continue with the direction of activities. An endeavour is to be made to di« rect the Y.M.C.A. activities into "club* channels in future and to stress club activities rather than have lectures and classes at set times. It is hoped to makQ the rooms a meeting place for boys.
