DIFFERENT LIVES PREFERRED

„ LONDON, May 20. Most Britons would try to do something different with their lives if given the chance of living them over again. Only one in four of those asked in a recent Gallup Poll said they would not make a change. This attitude was commoner among women than men The most frequent answer given—by 18 per cent, of the men and 5 per cent of the women—was that they would try for better education and better jobs Two per cent, of both men and women said they would not marry, and the same proportion said they would marry later; 2 per cent, of the men and 1 per cent, of women would try to marry earlier than they did. Few married men said they would marry somebody else, but 3 per cent, of married women would make such a change. Of single people, 3 per cent, would marry. , „ Four per cent of the men and 2 per cent, of the women said they would emigrate. Similar proportions would aim at “becoming rich.”
