NATIONAL & DISTRICT REUNIONS
J)ISTRICT war veterans had one of the most interesting week-ends
of the year, with two local and two national reunion fixtures as the principal features. Large numbers of visitors came to Gisborne for the annual gatherings of ex-members of 25 Battn., 2 N.Z.E.F., and of 30 Sqn. and Service Unit, R.N.Z.A.F., while at Patutahi and at Tolaga Bay district groups of veterans held their own annual gatherings.
Keen appreciation of the hospitality afforded them by Gisborne people, both on this occasion and in the past, was expressed by the visitors from other parts of the Dominion. Many of thton took an opportunity during their visit to it keen concern over the sufferings o
spect the hood area, and expressed ' Kiwi settlers.
