BIRTHDAY GOLF TOURNEY MATCHES AT AWAPUNI

Members of the P.B. Golf Club opened their annual King’s Birthday tournanient on the Awflpuni links on Scitui - day with a qualifying round to find the best 16 to compete for the Dodgshun Cup. Two rounds of match play were disposed of yesterday and the semi-final round was in progress today. In the qualifying round leading scores were registered by E. S. Toogood, 74, F. Fenwick, 75; J. T. Dodgshun, T. Atkins, 79; G. H. Stewart, 80; G. O. Craike, K. W. Bull. B. Jenkins, 82; I. D. Bramwell, H Luxton, J. H. Mansfield, M. R. Maude, 84; A. K. Russell R. Thompson. 85: F. H. Stephenson 86; F. T. Swindale, A. W. Harper, and D. E. c'hrisp. 87.
