BASKETBALL TEAMS
BOWIE CUP CONTEST
MONDAY TOURNAMENT
Sixty teams have been nominated for the annual Bowie Cup seven-a-side tournament being conducted by the P.B. Basketball Association at the Victoria Domain, Gisborne, on Monday. East Coast and Wairoa districts are each represented by four teams. Last years winners. H.S.O.G. (A2), will be defending the trophy. A feature of the day will be the march past of teams commencing at 2 p.m. Play commences at 9 a.m. and proceeds throughout the day. In order to complete the programme strict observance of the time table must be observed, the penalty for failure in this respect being loss of the game by default.
