MORE CUTS IN DOLLAR IMPORTS
CANBERRA, June 4,
The Federal Government will cut expenditure on dollar imports next financial year from £83,000,000 to £63,000,000 —a drop of nearly 25 per cent. The trade sub-committee of the Cabinet has approved a dollar spending budget for the financial year beginning July 1. Senior Ministers said the Government had decided on more dollar cuts because Britain's dollar deficit was still drifting.
