STERN GANG’S ULTIMATUM TO THE RED CROSS

LONDON, June 3.

In Jerusalem, the Red Cross delegation rejected an ultimatum by the Stern Gang to the effect that the Stern Gang would no longer respect the Red Cross flag, “if the Arabs continue to be protected in International Red Cross headquarters by tomorrow afternoon.”

The ultimatum said that three Stern Gang members guarding the area had been wounded by shots from the ing.The Red Cross said it would not be able to carrv on without the Arab staff.

JEWS ALLEGE BRITISH AID TO ARABS (11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. The Israeli Prime Minister, M. David Ben-Gurion, told his Cabinet last night that Arab-British plans for the capture of Haifa by May 20, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv by May 25, had fallen into Jewish hands.

He added that the plans also provided for the proclamation of King Abdullah of Transjordan as King of all Palestine on May 25. The British authorities not only supplied the Arabs with arms but helped to work out the Arab invasion plans and military tactics.

M. Ben-Gurion, attacking the British authorities ,said the British consul warned the Jewish Mayor of Haifa that if the Jews repeated the air attack on Amman the Royal Air Force would shoot down any Jewish plane seen over Palestine.
