MONDAY'S REP. GAME A particularly strong combination from the Wairoa (Hawke's Ray) sub-union has been chosen to meet the representatives of the Gisborne rugby clubs in the senior game on (he Gisborne Oval on Monday. The pack is regarded as one of the best to represent Wairoa in many seasons arid will have the support of a very sound back line. The home team combines experience and youth and has speed in the rearguard. The majority held places in the unbeaten Poverty Bay teams of last season and with prospects of inclusion in the union sides again this year will be endeavouring to display sustained form and the encounter should provide very interesting play. Wairoa and Gisborne junior reprejsentatives are to meet on the Wairoa ground. The curtain-raiser to the Gisborne Ova! is being provided by the | Waikohu sub-union junior reps, and the i Gisborne third grade team. I Though they have previously appeared in the scarlet jerseys of the union, j the Gisborne seniors arc to play in blue [on Monday, The juniors have been allotted white jerseys and the thirds are to play iri scarlet.
