DANCE FLOOR IN PLASTIC COST £looo
MELBOURNE, May 14. A plastic dance floor laid in the Heidelburg Masonic Hall is believed to be the only one of its kind in Australia.
It is seamless, dustless, and fireproof, with a surface which can be controlled to get the best dancing conditions. It is reddish-brown in colour, contrasting effectively with the cream and white interior of the hall.
The plastic floor is naturally warm underfoot, and cost about £IOOO to install.
The Clifton Hill firm which made the floor said today that plastic floors had been laid in several Melbourne factories.
