Large Ferret Caught
A ferret which measured 24Jin. from the tip of its nose to its tail was caught at Tahekeroa, North Auckland, recently. Of exceptional size, the ferret ran into a rabbit burrow when pursued by dogs. In addition to the dogs, a slick and a spade had to be used before it was finally dislodged from its hiding place.
Women’s Cricket Tour ..Advice has been received by the New Zealand Women's Cricket Council from the English Women’s Cricket Association that the English team which is to tour Australia next season will complete its Australian itinerary on February 22. The team will then come to New Zealand fur a tour lasting about five weeks.
