FREEMAN RETRIAL
MURDER ALLEGATION (PA.) DUNEDIN, April 28. The retrial of Phyllis Freeman, of Enfield. Oamaru, who is charged with the murder of Joyce Maysie Morrison at Enfield on October 3, 1942, was opened in the Supreme Court. Forty-seven witnesses will be called bv the'Crown, 12 more than at the last trial, and the hearing is expected to last 'about a fortnight. In addition to the murder charge, further indictments have been preferred—one of the attempted murder of Ina May Pearce at Enfield on May 23, 1947, and one of administering a noxious thing.
