CONDEMNED BACON
HUTT RAILWAY THEFT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. Four cases of bacon were apparently stolen from the Hutt railway yard on Monday night containing bacon condemned for human consumption, and the Wellington district office of the Health Department has issued a warning against buying bacon from unauthorised sources. The deputy-district officer of health, Dr. Kennedy, said that the cases containing about 401 b each, had been stolen in transit between Westfield and Belmont.
