MATAWAI W.D.F.U.
(Herald Correspondent.) The annual meeting of the Malawai branch of the Women's Divison of Federated Farmers was lield in the Matawai W.I. Hall. Mrs. F. Fisher presided, and Mrs. F. McLean read the minutes. Other members present included Mesdames H. C. Boys, R. G. Leggatt and F. R. Clark, Motu; Mesdames A. Pickcn and Judd, Koranga; Mesdames C. Hutchinson, F. Faram and F. McLean, Otoko; Mrs. T A. Rcdpath, Rakauroa; and Mesdames H. Bulst.R. C. Gibson and A. E. Gibson, Matawai. A letter of thanks was received from the Federated Farmers for supplying refreshments for the Royal Commission when it visited farmers in the district. Mrs. Fisher proposed a special vote of thanks to those members who worked at the saleyards and those who sent provisions, but could not attend. Mrs. Harris declined nomination to the executive. Miss L. McLean was elected president and Mrs. R. -D. Shaw secretary.
