Horse Collapses In Birdcage
While being unsaddled in the birdcage after running third in the Westholm Hurdles at the Waverlcy meeting on Saturday, Dark Morning collapsed and died. Dark Morning was an aged gelding by Baffles from Lady Willonyx and was owned by Mr. R. C. Dudding. His last win was scored in the Halcombe Memorial Handicap on the second day of the Combined Hunts' meeting at New Plymouth on August 30.
