OBITUARY
MR. J. D. GORDON MICHIE
Mr. James Douglas Gordon Michie, who for the past eight years has been employed in the office at the Cook Hospital, died suddenly yesterday while a patient in the hospital. He was the eldest son of tire late Mr. William Douglas Michie, a wellknown architect in the Gisborne district, and Mrs. Margaret Michie, who is now the only surviving member of the family. His only brother was killed in Egypt during the recent war. Mr. Gordon Michie was born in Wellington and educated partly there and partly at the Gisborne High School. He was a single man, and was in camp at Waiouru during the war for a period, although his medical grading prevented him from going overseas. _ A service will be held in .Cochrane's chapel, Williams street, at 1.45 p.m. today and the funeral will leave afterwards for the Taruheru cemetery.
