PURSE PAYMENT ISSUE N.Z. COUNCIL CONSULTED (PA.) AUCKLAND, April 27. A special meeting of the committee of the Auckland Boxing Association, held to consider legal advice on the decision of the referee, Mr. E. C. Armishaw, in declaring the bout a nocontest between Dave Sands, champion of Australia, and Jackie Marr, champion of Victoria, decided to ask the New Zealand Boxing Council for its direction in the payment of the purse.
