RUGBY CHIEF RETIRES
MR. S. S. DEAN'S RECORD (P.A.) WELLINGTON. April 27. During the course of a reply to a tribute to his long service to Rugby on the NZ.R.U. executive from which he is retiring, Mr. S. S. Dean, chairman, said that during his 28 years <'i office he had scon the funds of the union grow from £9103 to £42,351, while approximately £IOO,OOO had been distributed to affiliated unions. In the same period he had missed only 30 out of 642 meetings dealing with union business.
