ROTORUA ROBBERY.—Two Rotorua business premises in Fenton street were entered on Thursday night and from one goods were stolen. The places were the Hale Nicholls Garage and the Rotorua Sports Depot. From the sports depot a suitcase, clothing, a double-barrelled shotgun, two boxes of cartridges, and other articles were removed. Nothing was taken from the garage. It is believed that the intruder was in search of a motor vehicle. About the same time unsuccessful attempts were made to prise open the door of the grocer’s shop of H. W. Beale and the De Luxe Garage. During the early hours of this morning at Mamaku a man was found in the loft in Mr. J. Sims’ garaee.
