The day was overcast with occasional showers early but the weather improved later for the concluding day of the Manawatu Trotting Club s meeting on Saturday. There was a good attendance and the totalisator handled £37,366, compared with £30,737 10s on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £77.674 10s, as against £56,622, the increase being £21,052 10s.

The going was greasy early, but it improved as the day progressed.
