SUCCESS IN WOOD FI ELD (P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ April 26. The day was overcast with occasional showers early but the weather improved later for the concluding day of the Manawatu Trotting Club s meeting on Saturday. There was a good attendance and the totalisator handled £37,366, compared with £30,737 10s on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £77.674 10s, as against £56,622, the increase being £21,052 10s.

The going was greasy early, but it improved as the day progressed.
