RABBIT DESTRUCTION
COUNCIL’S FIRST MEETING (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 24. The first meeting of the Rabbit Destruction Council was held in Wellington this week, being opened by the Minister of Agriculture Mr. E. L. Cullen. Members of the council comprise Mr. G. B. Baker, South Canterbury, Mr. D. Matthews, Seddon, Mr. C. A. Williams, Hawke’s Bay, Mr. G. Millar, Otago, Mr. Tlios. MacKcnzie, Southland, Mr. J. Arthurs, Wellington, Mr. E. B. Baker, Port Waikato, and Mr. G. F. Yerck, Wellington. The Minister welcomed the members of the council and promised all assistance and co-opera-tion for his department. The council elected Mr. G. B. Baker its first chairman, and Mr. E. B. Baker as deputy-chairman.
