OBITUARY
MR. W, A. BROWN The funeral took place on Tuesday of a well-known farmer in the Waerenga-a-hika district, Mr. William Alexander Brown, who had died suddenly at his residence. Born at Waerenga-a-hika, he was the third son of the late Alexander and Mary Brown, particularly well - known settlers of that district. Mr. Brown was held in high regard by his friends and neighbours and he was always willing to lend a hand with worthy enterprises, his property always being at the disposal of committees arranging sports meetings. His Clydesdale draught horses won him several championships at the. A and P. Shows. He was also interested in sheep and mixed farming. Surviving their brother are Mr. J. B. Brown, Waerenga-a-hika, Mrs. Ingram, Gisborne, and Mrs. Linklatcr Tauranga. MR. J. A. ROBERTS Mr. J. A. Roberts, a director of Murray, Roberts and Company. Limited, the Mosgiel Woollen Company, Limited, and the Dunedin Saleyards Company, Limited, died suddenly in Dunedin yesterday.
