KING ABDULLAH’S CALL
ARAB STATES’ ARMIES BATTLE FOR PALESTINE King Abdullah of Transjordan on Thursrday called on the Arab world to take action against Zionism. He said: “Our peace and liberty are at stake. I call on all Arab countries to join my army in a movement to Palestine to retain the Arab character of that country when the British end their mandatory rule on May 15.” He added that the Arab Legion forces now in Palestine would not take part in the battle for Palestine until the British leave “but they will and they are now in the process of training and preparing for that date.”
