WATERSIDERS’ PAY

£331,000 FOR ATTENDANCE LAST YEAR’S PAY-OUT (11 a.m.) CANBERRA, April 23. The waterside workers received £331,000 attendance money during the year ended last December, according to figures released by the Government. For the first two months this year, they received £44,808 atendance money. The Commonwealth Government pays the watersiders 12s each if they answer a call but do not obtain work.
