TARANAKI EPIDEMIC (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. April 22. Suffering from poliomyelitis, a man aged 35. living near Inglewood was admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital yesterday. One other positive case. an eight-ycar-old boy from Okau, and two suspects from 'New Plymouth and Tongaporutu were reported. There have been 43 positive cases since November. AUCKLAND SUSPECT (P.A.) AUCKLAND. April 22. A suspected case of infantile paralysis a child aged a year and three-quarters, from One Tree Hill district, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday. There were 45 positive cases. 40 of whom arc convalescent and four sus pccts, in hospital last night. NAPIER GIRL PATIENT (P.A.) NAPIER, April 21. The first positive poliomyelitis case has occurred in the Borough of Napier. The patient is a 12-year-old girl who was admitted to hospital as a suspect last Saturday and has now been diagnosed as positive, but a very mild case.
