Gisborne the Friendly
“I have been surprised and delighted lo find Gisborne such a lovely town,” said Mrs. Hilda Ross. M.P. for Hamilton this ’morning. “I had expected a small country town, and find this lovely place with its wide streets and friendly people.” She had never before felt so at home in a new town, had been greeted with great friendliness, and had found (lowers and fruit waiting for her in her hotel room. “Its strange, this friendly feeling,” she said, “I feel that although everyone won t. agree with me politically, I shall be among friends when I speak tonight,”
