“No Parking" Area

A request for a "No Parking” area. 45ft. in length, outside the offices of the National Airways Corporation in Peel street caused some discussion amongst members of the Gisborne Borough Council on Tuesday night. Several members of the council were of the opinion that the request should be granted, otherwise traffic congestion would bo caused by taxis being _ _ forced to double park while awaiting pns.sengers outside the offices. Mr. F. Tolcrlon thought the site should be inspected. On his motion, a report is to he obtained from the council’s traffic inspector, Mr. T. G. Nowell. Spread of Citrus Fly The spread of the Mediterranean and Queensland fruit fly in Australia and the apparent impossibility of control was a subject dealt with by Mr. S. T. A. Roberts.
