FUEL OIL SHORTAGE
RATIONING BY COMPANIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON April 21. New Zealand has not escaped the effects of the world shortage of fuel oil. Unable to obtain sufficient supplies to meet the Dominion’s requirements, the oil companies have no alternative but to ration what is available among their customers, it is stated in Wellington. Until such time as the situation shows a very material improvement orders from new customers have had to be declined because the companies are not in a position to fulfil them.
